Wasps and hornets

Why nests should not be removed by hand
Disturbing a nest triggers a defensive response from the whole colony, and stings can be serious for anyone with an allergy. Nests inside a wall cavity or soffit are especially risky because they often have more than one exit and their true size is not visible from outside.
