Wildlife moves into attics, soffits, chimneys, crawl spaces and the space under decks and sheds because those places are dry, warm and sheltered. Removing the animal without closing the opening it used leaves the same access point available — often to a different animal in the following season, which is why exclusion and repair matter as much as removal.

Common signs

Noise overhead or in a wall, particularly at dawn and dusk. Damaged soffits, roof vents, fascia or shingles. Droppings and disturbed insulation in an attic. A strong odour under a deck or shed. Torn screening around vents and gaps at roof edges.
